Tell them Patti sent you! Web Site Hosting: I have absolutely fallen in love with Blacksun.ca out of Saskatoon. Besides being "back home", when you call their customer service folks, you get to talk to (I could hardly believe it...) A REAL PERSON!! No recordings, no obtuse call centre in Mumbai. Real home-town folks. Plans start at $10.00/month, very reasonable. Oh yeah... and security is not an issue... I think they give Fort Knox a run for their money. Again be sure to tell them you heard about them from the mouse-jockey.com site! I will have TONS more links for you plus recommended reading... so keep coming back to find out where I get a lot of my 'secret stuff'! Networking: We girls have to stick together! And this is a great way to do it! Not only do you have the opportunity to meet with like-minded lady entrepreneurs such as yourself at LIVE luncheons and events, but you can VASTLY broaden your online community of potential customers by being an active member! Recent additions include having your profile found on search engines (improving your own website's rankings), an online networking forum where you can post your products and services to other members, and learn of opportunities of interest to you. And in case you haven't noticed, I'm a FAN of Constant Contact (having tried several others, this is STILL the best that I've seen) and freshbooks.com. I switched to freshbooks.com in 2008 and MAN! What a bookkeeping breeze... especially for the accounting-challenged such as myself! If you invoice clients for services, you just have to have a look. Both offer free trial periods, so there is ZERO cost to sample them! Just click on a banner and take them for a spin!
